Dubai 30 x 30 Fitness Challenge

Another successful Dubai 30×30 Fitness Challenge completed! This year, our plan for the challenge was bigger and better. During the entire challenge, we hosted a series of fitness and exercise events to keep people active and motivated to complete their own personal challenge. If you missed the challenge this year, here are the 5 W’s (and 1 H) with all of the information you need to know for next year. But you don’t have to wait until next year to set your own personal challenge.  

WHO: Who can be involved. Everyone, the main purpose of the challenge is to get everyone involved in being more active and fit. So whether you’re young or old, you can participate in the challenge. A healthier, more active lifestyle is essential for everyone. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government had the mission to turn Dubai into the most active city in the world and this challenge is the first step in accomplishing this mission.

WHAT: What is it? It’s simple, the goal is to be active 30 minutes a day for 30 days in a row. Afterwards, the hope is to incorporate this new healthy, active routine into your everyday life. If you’re active for 30 straight days then you’ll be motivated to continue exercising year round.

WHEN: The Dubai Fitness challenge starts in October and ends in November but it’s never too late (or too early to start). You can start your own 30-day challenge any time of year.    

WHERE: Everywhere. The city transforms into one large playground with fitness and wellness events taking place throughout the entire city. Next year, make a plan to visit GO Sport to attend one of our events or to get all of the gear that you need.

WHY: Being active means being healthy and it goes beyond just moving. When you look at the full picture accomplishing the challenge represents turning dreams into achievements. Through completing the challenge, Dubai is turning challengers into champions which helps to create a community of happy, healthy, and engaged citizens. The city is moving and there’s no reason not to join in on the action.

HOW: It’s simple. 30 days. 30 minutes. All you need to do is start.
